Adding statuses and transitions
You can add an existing status to the status flow of a user-defined business object and add transitions to it. You can also rearrange and remove transitions.
1. On the Business objects step, select a base business object for which user-defined business objects (UDBOs) are configured.
2. Put the base business object under construction, by clicking on the lock icon.
3. Select the user-defined business object for which you want to add a status.
4. Go to Details > Status transitions.
Here, on the right, you can either select the data panel view (Data panel) or the status chart view (Status flow). The status chart allows you to visually model the status flow.
5. Click Add a status on the top.
The available status list for the selected UDBO appears.
*
If the required status is not available in the list, you must first create it (see Defining user status transitions).
6. Click the status that you want to add, it will directly be added to the canvas (on the top, highlighted in blue).
If you move away to another step or TSI, the status will be gone from the canvas.
If you refresh the status list, the status will disappear.
7. Drag the status to the preferred position.
8. Add transition(s), to and from, as required.
You can do so by holding the cursor and dragging the transition arrow to the destination port of another status.
A transition is created.
9. After making necessary changes, set the business object to Completed by clicking on the unlock icon.
To remove a transition, select it and click the Delete icon icon that appears. The transition is removed.
Click Auto-align to distribute the status transitions equally - this will undo all the changes made to the layout.
You can zoom in or zoom out and make the canvas fit to screen.
If you select a status in the canvas, the corresponding status transition(s) in the elements list is/are also highlighted.
