Defining user status transitions
After you have created the required user statuses (Creating user statuses), you can define status transitions for the business object.
Example:
You require the status transition Complaint reported > Complaint withdrawn for the user-defined business object Complaint.
You require the status transition Complaint reported > Complaint withdrawn for the user-defined business object Complaint.
Procedure
1. Make sure that the business object concerned - in this example the Orders - is Under construction.
2. Select the user-defined business object, in this example: Complaint.
3. Go to > .
4. From the Status transitions action panel, select Add user status transition.
5. For each status transition, select a From and a To status.
Initial status transitions, of which there can be several, go from 'nothing' to a specific target status.

 | If there are several initial status transitions available for a business object and if authorization permits it, end users will be able to switch between initial statuses on adding a new business object. This is only possible until they click Save; after that the initial status is final and read-only. |
