About Field definer
Field definer is used for the maintenance of business objects, fields, display types, actions, links, statuses, and status transitions. In addition, you can use it to create user-defined business objects and user-defined statuses.
You make settings that apply to the whole application and to all users. For example, field types and names are the same for all users and are therefore defined here.
Field definer enables you to change a field name or field type (such as text field, date field or pick list field). You can also set attributes for a field, for example to indicate whether it is mandatory to complete the field and whether the value specified should be unique.
