Schedule
The schedule is the timetable linked to an activity definition. The graphical planner shows a representation of the schedule, displaying all the maintenance activities that are scheduled for the activity definition.
The timetable of an activity definition can contain activities that are either purely time-based, condition-based or predictive-based:
A time-based schedule allows a maintenance activity to be set to occur hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, yearly or on specific dates.
A predictive-based schedule allows maintenance activities to be planned for the asset after a specific consumption of material or energy is estimated in Planon ProCenter Assets > Meters .
A condition-based schedule allows maintenance activities to be planned for the asset or building element after their condition scores indicate a certain, predefined deterioration.
For activity definitions, time-based, condition-based and predictive-based schedules can be selected in Maintenance Planner at Definitions & schedules.
For standard activity definitions, time-based, condition-based and predictive-based schedule can be selected in the Maintenance Library at Standard activity definitions.
For asset activity definitions, time-based, condition-based or predictive-based schedules can be selected in Assets at Activities / registrations.
Schedule examples
1. Time-based schedule: Daily -> every 2 days
2. Time-based schedule: Weekly on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday
3. Time-based schedule: Monthly on day 5
4. Predictive-based schedule: The asset is a company car. It is linked to an activity definition with a predictive-based schedule and maintenance regime. This car requires an overhaul after every 12,000 miles. Based on the data entered in Meters for the car’s counter, Planon ProCenter calculates when the next overhaul should take place and schedules a maintenance activity on the graphical planner.
5. Condition-based schedule: see Condition-based maintenance.

Regarding time-based-scheduling, it is good to know that if you select Monthly, Every month, on day 31, Planon will automatically schedule activities on the last day of each specific month. So this could also be day 28, 29 or 30.
