If you need a scheduling method based on assets reaching a certain, predefined 'consumption', for example based a number of operational hours, kilometers etc, you can schedule predictive maintenance. To be able to work with predictive maintenance, it is necessary to regularly enter counter readings in the Meters TSI for the relevant assets. With these counter readings, the asset's consumption can be calculated. Each time new counter readings are added, the asset's consumption is updated and the predictive-based maintenance activities in the maintenance plan are adjusted accordingly.

If an asset requires predictive-based maintenance, the schedule and maintenance regime specified in the activity definition must also be predictive-based. Additionally, the scheduling method must be Variable.
