Configuring the Assets filter block (context filter)
The Mobile - Assets web definition's Start page, in both the offline as the online variants, includes a Filter block. With this block you can enable end users to filter their list page based on context. For example, they can choose to only display assets in the building (property) in which they are currently working or filter out assets from a different property.
The following procedure outlines the steps for the filter block's configuration.

Procedure
1. In ProCenter, go to > > .
2. Select the Mobile - Assets web definition you want to configure.
3. At the bottom of the web definition panel, expand the web definition's tree and select > block (for either offline or online use, as required).
4. In the data section, on the Block properties tab, select the relevant field(s) that you want to use as filter criterion, for example Property.
Use the plus symbol to add fields as filter criteria, or the recycling bin symbol to delete. You must select at least one field to make the filter feature available on the app. End users can filter on the configured field(s) and even activate multiple filters simultaneously, to narrow down the number of results. The extensive set of fields includes for example:
◦ reference fields such as Property, Space, Cost center, Criticality
◦ date fields such as Warranty expires on, Date of manufacture or construction
◦ Boolean fields such as Transferred to archive?, Is missing?.
5. On the Block properties tab, enter a label for the filter in the relevant languages.
6. If you want to add quick filters to the app, select the relevant field for this, for example Space.
7. Go to Field properties and set the Display as quick filter? field to Yes, for example for the Space field.
8. Enter a label for the quick filter at > .
9. Click Save.
The Space field becomes available as quick filter.
10. Add more quick filters as required, up to a maximum of 3.
11. To extend or limit the search scope for the filter block, select the Block properties > Filter options tab.
12. In the Allow additional search options? field, select an appropriate scope for your filter.
13. Select Not allowed, if you want to limit the search scope to the selected property.
14. Select Include subproperties to extend the search scope to the building's subs.
15. Select Include 'Complex' properties, if you want to extend the search scope to the entire building complex.
You can fine-tune the quick filtering even more.
1. At Field properties, in the Selector field, check which mobile selector is linked to your quick filter.
2. Go to the Mobile selectors module and select this mobile selector.
3. Click the Search block of the selector.
4. Add the fields that should be available as search options on the filter bar within the quick filter. For example: in a quick filter on Space, you can enable end users to filter the list of spaces further via the filter bar by entering (part of) a Comment text or Floor finishing description.
