About Planon app - mobile configuration
App configuration provides a mobile configuration framework that enables application managers to configure Planon mobile solutions, for example because they need to respond to configuration changes in the back-office or handle authorization issues.
The Planon app bundles all available Planon mobile features into a single app. Functionalities within the app can be configured based on the needs of your employees, whether they want to book meeting rooms and workspaces in the office, or carry out maintenance work at a remote location. All users will have whatever they need, in the palm of their hand.
The App configuration TSI enables you to manage and configure two types of app content:
• Planon-created content (licensed app modules)
• Partner-created content
Planon-created content
Planon-created app modules are licensed per 'named' solution license.
Currently the following Planon app solutions are available:
• Workplace solution featuring the Bookings, Colleagues, My inventory, Spaces, Requests, Visitors, Reservations modules.
• PMFS solution featuring the Work assignments, Materials, Orders and the Assets modules.
• Planon app - Mobile Condition Assessor
• Planon app - Mobile Assessment Survey
• Planon app - Mobile Observations
• Assets module as stand-alone
Users can use a licensed module if:
• their user group is linked to the product definition of the correct product.
• their user group is linked to the web definition (casepart) of that module.
| The ready-to-use modules can be further configured to suit your specific requirements, using Planon ProCenter's PSS2 technology. Due to the unique combination of a hard-coded app (shell) and standard Planon components and the fact that these are metadata driven, you have the option to either stick to the delivered web definitions and hardly do any configuration, or create a fully customized app. If the configuration of any of the app's modules is updated in Planon ProCenter , app users will have to log off and log on again to see these updates. |
Partner-created content
Planon tech partners can create additional content to run on the
App configuration TSI. This content can for example be an addition to a Planon module, or it can be a custom (third party) module. For more information, see
Planon Marketplace.
