Getting started - making the Work assignments module ready for use
To get the
PMFS solution >
Work assignments module working (and the
Assets module if required), you must do some configuration and make settings that allow for the creation of
Mobile envelopes. These mobile envelopes will make the work assignments that belong to an order available on the app. Per work assignment they will carry messages between app and back-office and prevent information loss in offline situations.
The following preparations are required if you want to make the solution work on the Planon app.
Procedure
1. To start with, obtain the appropriate solution license and link it to the PMFS solution . Ask your Planon contact person for more detailed information. The solution license is required to make the Work assignments module available on the app.
2. Set up the
Event connector admin account to allow for mobile messages (envelopes) to be sent to the mobile device. See Event Connector:
Requirements.
3. For monitoring purposes and resolving synchronization issues, add the
Mobile envelopes TSI to the navigation panel of the responsible Planon administrator(s) in
Planon ProCenter . Configure this TSI as described in
Mobile envelopes TSI. Also see
Mobile envelopes and working offline for more information about using the offline capabilities.
4. Navigate to Accounts > User groups > > and select the user who needs to receive work assignments in the Planon app.
5. Navigate to > .
6. On the data panel, select Yes in the Enable work assignment 'envelopes'? field. For the creation of 'team envelopes' it is important that all team members have this setting set to Yes.
| This setting is used to check if the individual app user is allowed to receive work assignments on the PMFS solution . When set to Yes, the selected user will receive 'work assignment envelopes' in that app. Please note: from that moment, this user will no longer be able to receive work assignments (jobs) in Planon AppSuite. |
7. Click Save.
8. Field definer: go to the navigation panel and select > .
9. From the Business objects elements list, select the Work assignments business object .
10. On the action panel, select Under construction and then Business object settings.
In the Work assignment settings dialog box, the PMFS Live settings tab displays the PMFS Live order types for envelopes setting.
11. Select Link order types on the action panel.
12. In the Link order types dialog, select the user-defined order types that must be available for linking to the web definitions in the Work assignments app module. For example Order and PPM order.
| Envelopes can only be created for work assignments that belong to these selected order types. |
13. Move the selected order types to In use.
14. Click OK and Close.
15. On the action panel, select Completed. The mobile envelopes functionality is now activated for the selected users and order types.
