Configuring an upload block
An upload block allows app users to upload images / photos, for example via a request form.
Procedure
1. In Live app > PWEA (Live app) select the Request forms module.
2. Select the Request form (web definition) whose Upload block you want to configure.
3. At the bottom panel select the Upload block.
4. Make sure that the Allow upload field is set to Yes.
5. In the Communication log type field, select the type of communication log that should be used for the request form.
6. In the […] (communication log) fields, select relevant file locations:
◦ Document reference
◦ Document (secure)
◦ Image
◦ Image location
7. If you want make file upload mandatory, select Yes in the Mandatory file upload field.
When this setting is set to Yes, users must upload at least one attachment before they can continue or submit a request form. When set to No, the existing behavior remains unchanged and attachments stay optional.
8. In the Label field and Title field enter the appropriate labels and titles for the upload block in various languages.
The File types and File types (non-secure) fields display the supported file formats:
.jpeg,.jpg,.png,.rtf,.doc,.docx,.txt,.ppt,.pptx,.xls,.xlsx,.pdf
The System max. upload size (MB) and Max. upload size for image (MB) fields display their maximum upload size in MB.
These fields are read-only.
9. Click Save.
The settings are applied to the selected request form. Repeat the procedure as needed for other request forms.
