Reconfiguring Free date-time fields
When used on a layout, Free date-time fields typically display a date and time stamp.
You can, however, reconfigure this type of field to display only a date.
Procedure
1. Go to Field definer , select a business object and set it Under construction.
2. Go to Details > Fields, select a Free date-time field.
3. Set it to In use and change its Field type to DateNeutral.
4. Go back to Business objects level and set the business object to Completed.
You can use this field on a layout and in the date-picker window that will be available for this field, you can now select a date (only).
In the database, this field will be added with 00:00 as a 'dummy' value for the time.
