Preventing order generation on non-working days
You can make calendar-based settings to prevent orders being generated on non-working days in Maintenance Planner. The calendar linked to the property is considered first when generating maintenance orders. If there is no calendar set for the property, the default company calendar is used. It is not possible to take personal calendars of tradespeople into account. The setting only determines the (planned) start date of the generated PPM orders, it will not affect the planned start date of the maintenance activities.
Procedure
1. Go to Field definer > Business Objects selection level, select the Base activity definitions business object.
| This business object is used in Planned Maintenance (Maintenance planner TSI). |
2. On the Status transitions action panel, click Under construction.
3. On the System business objects action panel, click Business objects settings.
The Maintenance activity definition settings dialog box is displayed.
4. Go to the setting Generate orders on working days only?.
5. By default this field is set to No, allowing order generation on all days.
6. Select Yes if you want to restrict order generation to working days only.
7. Click Save and Close.
8. Return to the Business objects selection level and on the Status transitions action panel select Completed.
If you selected Yes, the start dates of newly generated PPM orders are set to the next possible working day, in accordance with your property / company calendar. However, the Maintenance planner TSI will still show the maintenance activity on the originally scheduled date. If you selected No, new PPM orders can also be generated on non-working days.
