Setting a time-limit for maintenance order generation in the past
In Field definer , at the Business objects selection level, settings can be made for the Maintenance activity definitions business object.
The following setting allows end users to select a start date-time that is in the past when generating maintenance orders. You can specify the exact length of the period in the past in which maintenance order generation is still allowed.
Procedure
1. Go to the Field definer > Business Objects selection level, select the Base activity definitions business object.
2. On the Status transitions action panel, select the Under construction option.
3. On the System business objects action panel, select the Business objects settings option.
4. The Maintenance activity definition settings dialog box is displayed.
5. Under Set time-limit for maintenance order generation in the past, in the Time-limit field, enter a relevant period until which maintenance order generation in the past is allowed.
6. Example: if you enter ‘2 weeks’, generated maintenance orders can have start date-times that are at the most two weeks earlier than the current date-time.
7. Click Save.
8. Click Exit.
9. Return to the Business objects selection level and on the Status transitions action panel select Completed.
The set time-limit is now applied to the start date-times of maintenance orders generated in the Maintenance Planner TSI.
