Making list values multi-language
Procedure
1. In Field definer , select the business object for which you want to change the default translation.
| In this procedure, Order groups is used as an example. |
2. On the action panel, set the status to Under construction.
3. In the data panel, set the Is user-translatable field to Yes and switch the status to Completed again.
4. Go to Layouts and select Order groups from the list of business objects.
5. Go to Layouts.
6. Select the OrderGroup layout.
7. Set the status to Under construction by clicking the padlock icon.
8. Click a random field on the General tab, to make the Unused fields section available on the right side of your screen.
9. From the Unused fields section, select the Translated name field (LangFieldDetail), and click OK.
10. Drag the field to an appropriate position on the layout.
11. Set the status to Completed again by clicking the opened padlock icon.
You have now completed making order group records translatable.
12. Go to Work Orders > Components.
13. Expand the list of available order groups and click an order group whose name you want to translate.
14. Under Translated name, all available languages are listed. Enter the new translated name for the relevant languages and click OK.

15. Go to Work Orders > Orders and select an order. The pop-up that is available for the Order group field now displays the new name.
16. Any user who logs on, will see the name in the language that is linked to this person.
17. To change the values for picklist items (code/descriptive), you must select Configured picklists (code/descriptive) (CodesCodeName) in Field definer and set the Is user translatable field to Yes.
