Configuring display types
Procedure
1. Go to Field definer > Business objects.
2. Select the relevant business object. This has to be a business object that uses display types (see Display types).
3. Set the business object’s status to Under construction.
4. Go to Details > Display types. Here you can enter the appropriate names for the display types.
5. Go to Details > Fields.
6. Select the field you want to be available for particular display types only.
7. Open the Display type picklist in the Display type field.
8. In the Display type picklist, select the display types for which end users should see the selected field.
9. If required, repeat steps 6, 7 and 8 for other fields.
10. Set the business object’s status back to Completed if you have finished configuring the display types.
