Building elements
A building element is a distinct part of a building that contributes to its structure, function, or enclosure. This includes:
Structural elements: beams, columns, floors, roofs, walls, foundations.
Non-structural elements: windows, doors, stairs, finishes, cladding, insulation.

Building elements often require condition-based maintenance. In Planon, you can add building elements at the Assets selection level.

The Asset library TSI is a repository of standard building elements. You can use these standard building elements as a template for registering new building elements. See Standard building elements.
