A standard building element is a 'template' building element that you can use to speed up the process of adding a new building element. If you add a building element based on a standard building element, many fields are automatically populated.
You can use standard building elements in maintenance related TSIs, such as Assets , Activity planner , Maintenance planner, Activity planner and Surveys.

You can search the library for standard building elements by their code, either by using the magnifying glass icon at the top right of the elements list, or by simultaneously pressing CTRL+<space>.
