PPM cluster groups
As part of the (scheduled) PPM order generation process, you can create PPM cluster groups in the PPM order generation TSI. These cluster groups allow you to define and save cluster criteria that can be reused across multiple PPM scheduling profiles. This streamlines the setup process, ensuring consistency and reducing the need to reconfigure clustering criteria for different profiles.
If you want to apply clustering to the (scheduled) PPM order generation, it is mandatory to define a PPM cluster group in the PPM order generation TSI. The PPM cluster group sets the criteria that must be applied to clustered order generation. You can create PPM cluster groups at the PPM profiles > Cluster groups selection step.
Fixed cluster criteria
Some cluster criteria are fixed:
• Standard order
• Contract line
• Budget definition
Property level criteria and Asset level criteria
Planon administrators can make the Property level criteria and Asset level criteria fields available in the PPM order generation TSI, by adding these to the layout of the PPM cluster groups business object. These fields allow back-office employees to further refine clustering on Property and Asset level when generating clustered PPM orders.
Optional cluster criteria
Additional
optional cluster criteria can be made available in the cluster group. Which optional clustering criteria are shown as
Criteria fields through the
Links action panel of the
Cluster groups selection step, depends on the fields selected as optional clustering criteria in the business objects settings made on
Activity definition base in
Field definer .
A PPM cluster group can be linked to more than one
PPM profile, but a PPM profile can only be linked to one PPM cluster group. Ultimately, it is the PPM profile that ensures that the scheduled PPM order generation / clustered PPM order generation actually takes place.
