PPM profile
It is possible to schedule the generation of maintenance orders as an automated process. With this functionality, you can create a PPM profile, that sets the parameters for scheduling and automating PPM order generation.
You can create PPM profiles on the PPM profiles selection step in the PPM order generation TSI.
You can link the following criteria to the PPM profile. These criteria will determine which activity definitions are included in the generation of PPM orders.
• Maintenance plan
• Properties
• Contracts (this link is not available if the PPM profile's Criteria type is Property-based)
• Activity definition groups (Activity definition's status (must be Active to be included in the profile)
Other important settings in the PPM profile fields:
• Criteria type field: activity definitions are filtered either by Property-based or Contract-based criteria, to prevent the generation of duplicate orders or orders that have a time overlap. For more information on the criteria type, see PPM profiles fields.
• Settings for order generation, for example to allow overlapping runs in future or past periods, or selecting a specific language for the descriptions of orders, order lines and order costs.
• Schedule (the actual scheduling action, its timetable and its activation)
If you create a PPM profile with clustering, you must also do the following::
• Link a Cluster group with clustering criteria (fixed and optional)
• Set a Timespan for clustering (by day, week, month, year)
