Main responsible engineer
Most field engineers to whom jobs are assigned will be unaware whether a job is based on
1:1 planning or
1:n planning. To them it is just a job that needs to be completed.
| Persons to whom a Key work assignment is allocated need to be informed/ notified by the back-office or planner that they are the 'main responsible' person for the status flow and completion of the order. |
An order can have multiple key work assignments. For example, if you have a team of people working on an order over multiple days, it is logical to have a key work assignment for each day of work.
A main responsible engineer will be in charge of:
• Editing the planned materials, if required.
• Confirming the receipt of materials.
• Returning materials to the store that were not used.
• Filling in questionnaires that are required at the start or at the end of the work.
• Acquiring the customer's sign-off.
• Completing the job that is linked to the key work assignment and - as a result - technically completing the order.
