Publisher List - Configuring a URL Field

In Publisher List, you can configure a Free field as a URL field. This enables you to add URLs to Free fields and provide users with clickable links.

Some configuration is required.Procedure

1. Go to Field definer > Personnel business object and put it Under construction.

2. Go to Details level and find and select a Free field and put it In use.

3. Open the Field type dialog and select URL (or Relative URL) and click OK and Save.

You have now configured a Free field as URL field.

4. Go back to Personnel and set the business object to Completed.

5. Click on Employee business object and click Jump to Layouts.

You will navigate to Layouts.

6. Put the layout Under construction.

7. Add the Free field to the layout and save it and set the layout to Completed again.

You have added the configured Free field to the Employee layout.

8. Go to Publisher list.

9. Select the required Publisher list and select its List block in the lower panel.

10. In the data panel, click on the Plus icon to add the Free field you configured earlier and click Save.

In the generated Web form, the Free field will now be available (but has no content yet).

11. Go to Personnel TSI > Personnel level.

12. Select a person from the elements list.

13. In the Free field, enter a URL (starting with http(s)://) and click Save.

You have configured a clickable URL - you can now test your configuration.

1. Go to the Publiser list that was configured earier (Step 10).

2. Find the Person for whom you have added a URL.

3. You can now click the URL and it will open in your browser.
