Field | Description |
|---|---|
Allow upload | Enables or disables file upload for this block. If set to No, the upload panel is hidden and users cannot attach files. |
Use communication log | Controls where uploaded files are stored. • Yes – A Communication log record is created for each upload; the file is stored via the Communication log. • No – The file is stored directly on the underlying order or request (as a secure document). In both cases, the uploaded file ultimately resides in a secure document field. |
Communication log type | Defines which (UDBO) Communication log type is created when a file is uploaded. If left empty, the system Communication log type is used. Relevant only if the Use communication log field is set to Yes. |
Upload Destination Fields To give administrators more control over how uploads are stored, additional fields distinguish between document files and image files. | |
Document field (communication log) | Determines where non-image files are stored: • Document (secure) (default) • Document reference |
Image field (communication log) | Determines where image files are stored in the Communication log: • Document (secure) (default) • Document reference • Image (enables image previews in Self-Service and communication-log based pages) |
File Type Configuration | |
File types | Allows restricting which file extensions may be uploaded via this block. This list must always be a subset of the allowed system file types. |

Image file types | Read-only list showing which extensions are treated as images by the system. Image uploads are routed to the Image field if configured. Supported image file types (fixed in the platform): • Mobile: .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .heic, .heics • Web client: .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .gif • Self-Service (combined): .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .gif, .heic, .heics These values cannot be configured. |

Max. no. of files to upload | Maximum number of files users may upload through this block at once (range 1-50). |
Mandatory file upload | For Add flows in specific modules (Service Requests, Reservation Wizard, Move Wizard, Orders), requires users to upload at least one file before submitting. |
