Exporting translations using Translations wizard
Adding or amending configuration translations can be done independently of the core language loaded at the Languages level.
Navigation in the Wizard
• Click Next mandatory step to quickly navigate through the wizard, skipping optional steps.
• You can always go back one step and review your choices by clicking Previous. Or, you can click a specific wizard step to go there directly
• You can edit the selection grid by clicking

, the icon then changes appearance

to edit mode.
You can now click the options menu in the grid heading and select one of the options:
◦ Increase size
◦ Reduce size
◦ Hide column / Show column
Click Settings again to close edit mode.
• In most wizard steps, you can filter the content and add additional filter options to quickly find what you are looking for.
Proceed as follows to export translations.
Procedure
1. Go to Languages tab and select the language that you want to export.
2. Click Export translations in the action panel.
The Translations export wizard appears.
3. In the first step, specify a package name and enter a comment (optional).
When exporting a language, it is a best practise to prefix the package name with Exp_.
4. Click Next to continue to the next step.
In the next step, you can select the Export options.
5. Here, the language you've selected earlier is shown. You can still change the language you want to export.
Also, you can select to export Non-translated content only - if you select this option, you limit your content to those items that have not been translated yet in the selected language.
6. Click Next to continue to the next step.
Select the navigation groups that you want to have translated.
Select All at the bottom - this will select all navigation groups that have been configured in your navigation panel. You can still deselect navigation groups before moving them to Selected.
7. Click Next to continue to the next step.
Select the navigation items that you want to have translated.
Automatically, all navigation items Linked to the navigation groups are included in Selected.
You can deselect those included or click All at the top to include additional items.
8. Click Next to continue to the next step.
Review and confirm your choices.
Click Previous to return to an earlier step, you will then go back one step.
You can also click a specific Selection step in the left panel to go back to a specific step.
9. Click Complete to start the export.
The export will be started as a background action.
Refresh the elements list to view progress (or go to
Background actions).
Go to the Jobs level, select your job and click Job details to review the contents and logs of the export package, listed per element.
10. You can download your translations package at Jobs level.
The translation package is a zip file that has the name of the package you specified earlier.
In the Package name field, click Download.
The zip file is downloaded to your browser’s download location and it contains a set of JSON files.
