Translation key
A translation key (also known as transkey) is a language file entry that links a GUI component or message (e.g. a field, button, etc.) to a text description that is meaningful to the user in the in the target language. A translation key thus comprises three components:
• Technical ID string
• Translation key status
• Text to be displayed in the GUI
