Viewing order and work assignment details on a slide-out panel
With the correct license and configuration it is possible to view order details on a separate slide-out panel within Resource Planner. This saves you the trouble of going to the Work Orders TSI to view this data.
You can view the details about the planned or unplanned work in Resource Planner, for example order lines and communication logs. You bring out this data by clicking an item on the planboard or the Unplanned panel.
Precondition: your Planon administrator must first add the relevant Resource planner details steps to the Resource Planner layout in ProCenter modules > TSIs . These steps will be shown as 'tabs' on the slide-out panel. See Configuring the tabs of the Resource planner slide-out panel for more information.
Procedure
1. In Resource planner, select an item on the planboard or the Unplanned panel.
The Details slide-out panel is displayed.
2. Depending on whether you select a planned work assignment or an unplanned order on the planboard, the available icons in the vertical bar of the slide-out panel give access to different tabs and details, each representing a specific category:
Work assignment data : if you select a planned work assignment on the planboard, this 'tab' shows the work assignment details.
Order details: general info on the order, distributed over several horizontal tabs, similar to the data in the Orders TSI.
Work assignment context: clicking this tab displays information about any other work assignments related to the order. Selecting a work assignment reveals more details. You can also add new work assignments here.
Order lines: clicking this tab displays the order lines related to the order. If you select an order line in the list, more details are displayed.
Labor hours: clicking this tab displays the labor hours related to the order. If you select a labor hour record in the list, more details are displayed.
Communication logs: clicking this tab displays the communication logs related to the order. If you select a communication log in the list, more details are displayed.
Maintenance activities (only for PPM orders): clicking this tab displays the maintenance activities related to the order. If you select a maintenance activity in the list, more details are displayed.
Hazards: clicking this tab displays the hazards that may apply to the order. If you select a hazard in the list, more details are displayed, so you can assess their relevancy.

3. Click the relevant 'tab' icons to view the order details you are interested in.
4. To add new order lines, work assignments, labor hours, communication logs or hazards, use the Add button on the panel's various tab layouts.
5. To hide the details panel, click the '>' control at the panel's top left. The panel remains hidden until you manually make it visible again. To make the details panel reappear, click the '<' at the top right of the planboard (next to the period view options).
