| Setup a lower priority non-reservable configuration for all the non-specific user groups. |
Example
Reservation policy for meeting rooms, based on reservable periods
You want to create a reservation policy that allows only the Sales department to book meeting rooms during week days, between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM, for the next three months.
◦ Create a policy, for example Sales department week day reservation.
◦ Set the applicability by selecting the Sales department user group and by configuring space units to include linked Meeting rooms.
◦ Specify the reservable period (example).
- Reservable period from: Start of next month
- Reservable period until: Three months later
◦ Define reservation unit settings (rules) in Space units.
- Set Allow reservations on non-working days? to No (that is, set the allowed days of the week to Monday through Friday)
- Set Allow reservations outside office hours? to No (that is, set the time range, allowing reservations only from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM)
◦ Activate the policy.
This policy allows only Sales department users to reserve meeting rooms on weekdays between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM within a defined three-month period.
| This restriction is only enforced if there is also a fallback reservation policy — with a lower priority — that explicitly sets Permission = Not Reservable. If no such policy exists, the system will assume availability by default, and users outside the defined parameters might still be able to make reservations. |
