Team work assignments
In addition to individual field engineers / tradespeople, work assignments can also be assigned to a maintenance team.

If a work assignment is allocated to a team, the system creates and sends out a 'team envelope' for each person who belongs to that team. This is how the work is assigned to a group of people. Next, the individual team members decide if and when they accept the work. Team members can only accept work if they are online. Rejecting work can be done both online and offline. For both transactions, accepting or rejecting, team envelopes are returned to the back-office. There, the work assignment data is updated accordingly.
| | You can configure how to download team assignments (envelopes). When the setting Display only summary data for team assignments? is enabled, only the Summary pages of team envelopes are downloaded. This allows engineers to quickly review essential information and decide whether to accept or reject an assignment, while reducing download time and data usage. When the setting is disabled, the full team envelope is downloaded. The setting is available on the main web definition in the Work Assignments module. After Planon has processed one team member's envelope for accepting a work assignment:
• status Accepted is set on the work assignment;
• the person who accepted the work is filled in on the work assignment as Internal tradesperson;
• all other team envelopes relating to the same work assignment are revoked and the work removed from the respective mobile devices, because the assignment is already accepted by one team member.
| | In the PMFS solution , deleting / ending a team member (business object 'Role player') has consequences for their assigned work. The system will automatically revoke the 'team envelopes' related to the work assignments of former team members, to prevent tasks remaining assigned to people who are no longer active. Planon administrators can also use the Revoke team envelopes action in the Maintenance teams TSI to directly revoke outstanding team work assignments. |
