Good to know: • It is possible to create dynamic QR codes in Planon. This type of QR code can be scanned by the native camera of a mobile device and open the Planon app. The user will directly navigate to the corresponding record in the app, for example a meeting room. Dynamic QR codes also work with the app's central scanner. See About Dynamic navigation links and Scanning QR codes from outside the app in the WebHelp for more information. • Alternatively, system administrators can configure another type of QR code that also works from outside the Planon app, using Planon's 'scan' parameter for deep links: [PlanonDeepLinkURL]/scan?code=[CustomValue]. • Although it is possible to create QR codes for Products and Stock items in Planon, these codes are not yet supported by the Planon app > PMFS solution . • For supported bar code types, see Supported bar codes in the Planon app. |
• If you use NFC tags underneath the QR codes (both based on Planon QR codes), scanning an NFC tag will open the app and navigate to the correct module. See for more information on configuring NFC tags. • You can use the central scanner to allow scanning of custom (non-Planon) QR codes. This has to be implemented per app module. This feature will only work for modules that have the setting Show QR code scanner set to Yes. Example: if you scan an asset code, you are offered the module(s) in which the scanned code occurs as a field value in any of the fields that were configured on the Search bar (see Custom QR codes on search blocks below). This feature works for the Inventory module and the Assets module. |
