Mobile start page - generic settings
About the Start page module
The Start page module includes the Mobile start page web definition. This web definition contains all generic app information and settings.
*
The settings you make here apply throughout the Planon app.
Start page settings
On the data panel of the Mobile start page web definition, there are several settings that apply to starting the mobile application:
Offline message sending delay (milliseconds) - enter the delay (in milliseconds) after which offline messages must be sent, when synchronizing offline messages. If this field is left empty, no delay is applied.
Enable Environment URL history? - see: Configuring login history on the Mobile start page.
URL history retention period (days) - see: Configuring login history on the Mobile start page.
Application settings - pages and blocks
On the lower panel, under Application settings, you can configure page settings and preferences, for example to allow tailor-made (TMS) information blocks or showing a QR code scanner on the mobile apps.
On the Edit personal details page > Edit block you can make settings related to the personal details of app users, by making fields available on the app.
In addition to free text fields, the Edit block supports the following field types:
Reference fields
Picklists
Free fields
The Settings page includes the following subpages (for preferences and privacy of logged-in users):
About
Privacy
Preferences
Admin tools
On most subpages you can only edit the Page title or choose to set Allow TMS card? to Yes if you want to allow custom blocks on the app.
The Admin tools subpage also includes an additional setting to grant user access to Admin tools on the app. By linking user groups via the Enable 'Admin tools' for user groups field, only these linked user groups will be able to use the features from the admin toolbox in the app, for example Write NFC tags.

For more information about using the Admin tool feature on the app, see Generic features in the Planon app - Workplace solution documentation. For more info on configuring NFC tag writing from within the Planon app, see Writing NFC tags.
