Reviewing lifecycle costs
Review the projected maintenance and replacement costs generated for an asset scenario.
Before you begin, verify that the lifecycle costs have been generated successfully.
Procedure
1. Open the required Asset scenario.
2. Go to Lifecycle costs selection level.
3. Review the yearly Lifecycle Cost records.
4. Verify the maintenance costs generated for each year.
5. Verify the replacement costs generated at the end of each lifecycle.
6. Repeat these steps for other Asset Scenarios if you want to compare different maintenance strategies.
You can use the available drill-down options to review lifecycle costs for selected assets and cost overview periods.
You can evaluate the projected costs for the Asset Scenario and use the information to support maintenance and replacement decisions.
 | To compare lifecycle costs across multiple asset scenarios, export the lifecycle cost data to the Data Lake and use reporting tools such as Power BI for further analysis. |
Example
For an asset with:
◦ Base life: 10 years
◦ Maintenance cost: €250
◦ Replacement cost: €15,000
The generated Lifecycle Costs include annual maintenance costs of €250 and a replacement cost of €15,000 in the tenth year.
