Registering a lease incentive
You can register a Lease incentive in Planon. A lease incentive that is registered at the contract line start date will reduce the right-of-use. A lease incentive that is registered after the contract line start date will decrease the liability at the date it is entered and increase the carrying value of the liability at the lease incentive payment date.
 | You can also register a lease incentive for lessor leases, but in this case the lease incentive is not taken into account for either calculations or postings. |
You can register lease incentives before the lease contract is activated. Sometimes a lease incentive is not yet known or definitive at the start of the lease. In this case, you can change the lease incentive later, after activating the lease contract.
Procedure
1. On the Contracts selection level, select the contract for which you want to register a lease incentive.
2. Go to .
3. On the action panel, click Add special lease amounts.
The Enter values dialog box is displayed.
◦ In the Amount type field, select Lease incentive.
◦ In the Frequency type field, select One-off.
◦ Enter the lease incentive amount in the Amount field.
◦ Specify the Start date and End date for the lease incentive. For a lease incentive at start, enter the contract line start date.
◦ If relevant, enter Comments to the lease incentive.
You have now registered a lease incentive. The lease incentive is available in the accounting commitments.
