Reporting period
Periods of reporting are freely defined based on accounting periods to start and end. portfolios are defined based on the lease management and lease accounting referential data, such as legal entity, operating company or asset category.
Periods of reporting and portfolio criteria can be combined to define specific perimeters of reporting: this is a reporting period.
Reporting period start and Reporting period end fields must be filled in with a selected accounting period. A period of reporting can’t be based on free dates, it must be based on accounting periods.
Both Reporting period start and Reporting period end fields can be filled in with the same accounting period. The figures will represent only that one accounting period.
Accounting standard and Currency fields must be filled in.
ASC 842 figures can’t be consolidated with IFRS 16 figures.

In addition to the period of time and the mandatory information, a portfolio can be defined based on the following optional criteria:
• Operating company field allows to select one operating company. The actual data retrieved for the reporting period will be filtered for that operating company.
• Linked legal entities field display the legal entities (contracting parties) that have been selected through the Link legal entities link.

Once a reporting period is created, it has status 0, Initial, and no reporting period actuals are available at the Reporting period actuals navigation level. You must calculate the actual data for the reporting period.
• On the action panel, click Calculate reporting period data. The reporting period status changes to 1, Calculated, and a reporting period actual is created at the corresponding selection level.
 | When the Delete trial closure action is used after actual data have been collected, either automatically or manually, the actual data may have been used to create reporting period actuals. When the periodic report data is deleted, any reporting period actuals based on that data are also deleted. The reporting periods that are the parents of the deleted reporting period actuals are then set to status 2, Canceled, and the Calculate reporting period data action becomes available again. |
