Settings for the Maintenance Plans business object
You can configure whether you want to update the Descriptions and Translated names of service plans and activity definitions that are included in a maintenance plan when the plan is recompiled in the Maintenance planner TSI. If you select Yes, any changed descriptions or translated names of associated service plans and activity definitions will overwrite the ones in the maintenance plan upon recompiling. If you select No (default setting), the existing descriptions and translated names in the plan will remain as they are. It depends on your use case which setting is preferable.
Procedure
1. Go to Business objects > Maintenance plans and set it to Under construction.
2. On the action panel, select Business objects settings.
The Maintenance plan settings dialog box opens. The General tab displays the Update descriptions & translations on recompiling? field. By default, No is selected.
3. Select Yes if you want to enable updating for the descriptions and translated names of service plans and activity definitions.
4. Click Save and close the Maintenance plan settings dialog box.
5. Go back to Business objects > Maintenance plans and set it to Completed.
