Setting for the Car parks business object (time slot duration)
Car parks are added and maintained in the Supporting data > Car parks TSI. Once a car park is added, it can then be assigned to a visitor in the Personnel TSI. In Field definer , you can define the minimum parking duration to be used by Planon ProCenter for a car park. This is known as the Time slot duration and it can either be set to 15, 30 or 60 minutes. The default value is 60 minutes. The time slot duration is effectively the duration of the equal intervals of time used to divide up car park opening hours.
The time slot duration also determines when Planon ProCenter considers a parking space to be available. For example, if a parking space is reserved from 14:00 through to 14:15, with the time slot duration set to 15 minutes, the parking space is considered available again at 14:15. With the time slot duration set to 30 minutes, the parking space is considered available again at 14:30 and if it was set to 60 minutes, it is considered available again at 15:00.
To set the time slot duration
Procedure
1. In the launch center, click Field definer .
2. At the Business objects selection level, set the Car parks business object to Under construction.
3. On the System business objects action menu, click Business object settings.
4. The Car park settings dialog box appears.
5. You can now specify the time slot duration as either 15, 30 or 60 minutes and click Save.
6. Set the Car parks business object to Completed.
