Configuring database indexes
In a Planon Cloud environment, performance can be improved by creating custom indexes on the database. With the support of Planon, you can create database indexes in Field definer . This saves you the trouble of involving a database specialist to manually add them to the database.
Procedure
1. Go to Field definer > Business objects.
2. Select the business object to which you want to add indexes.
3. Go to Details > Custom indexes.

The Custom indexes step is available only in a Cloud environment.
4. On the action panel, click Add and complete the fields.
For a description of these fields, refer to Custom indexes fields.
5. Click Save.
A custom database index is created for the business object.
