Automatic updating of field attributes
Planon ProCenter includes several business objects that are more complex than other business objects, because of their close similarity and association with a 'standard' business object. A good example is the Orders business object, which is very similar to and closely associated with the Standard orders business object.
With regard to the field attributes of standard business objects, an automatic updating principle applies: if you modify one or more field attributes of a leading business object like Base assets, the system automatically updates the field attributes of its associated Base standard assets business object. Refer to the following table to see which business object updates the field attributes of which standard business object.

Refer to the following procedure for an example:
Procedure
1. In Field definer , at the Business Objects selection level, select the relevant business object and set it Under construction.
In this example Base assets is selected.
2. Refresh the list and note that Base standard assets is also Under construction
3. Drill down to > .
4. Select a field of Base assets whose field attributes you want to change, for example Free field 1.
5. Select Yes in the In use field.
6. Change the relevant field attribute. For example, in the Field type field, select a field type, like Person.
7. Click Save.
8. At Business Objects, set Base assets to Completed.
9. Refresh the list and note that Base standard assets is also Completed.
10. Select the Base standard assets business object and drill down to > .
The field attributes of Free field 1 have been changed to the Person field type.
