About Distribution point management
In Planon, a distribution point refers to a location in an organization where products are stored and where they can be issued / returned. A distribution point is also sometimes referred to as a store or a warehouse.
Distribution point management TSI
In the Distribution management TSI you can define and manage distribution points and the preferred processing method that must be applied to all the products linked to that distribution point. This allows you to manage different handling processes for stock items, purchase items and externally managed materials.
 | A single distribution point can only have one processing method for its linked products. If you need to use different processing methods, for example one for stock and one for purchase items, you must configure a separate distribution point per type of distribution item (product). |
In this TSI, you can configure distribution points for:
• Planon stock items
• Planon purchase items
• products that are externally managed in a different system than Planon
