Phase 1 - Preparation
1. Inventory existing DAM configurations
Before you start migrating, create a complete overview of all existing DAM definitions. For each Aggregation definition:
• Identify the Aggregation definition UDBOs used in DAM.
• In Field Definer, locate where ContainerSX and ReportSX are registered (typically on AfterDBInsert/AfterUpdate).
• Confirm which Data Aggregation Properties record is in use and whether the old properties file is still relevant.
This inventory determines exactly which elements must be migrated.
2. Use a safe test environment
Perform all migration work in a test or DTA environment before updating production. This allows you to:
• Copy SX parameters safely
• Test the new behavior against the existing configuration for validation purposes
