Phase 1 - Preparation
1. Inventory existing DAM configurations
Before you start migrating, create a complete overview of all existing DAM definitions. For each Aggregation definition:
• Identify the Aggregation definition UDBOs used in DAM.
• In Field Definer, locate where ContainerSX and ReportSX are registered (typically on AfterDBInsert/AfterUpdate).
• Confirm which Data Aggregation Properties record is in use and whether the old properties file is still relevant.
 | If at this point, properties files are still in use, the contents of these files must be copied to Data aggregation properties records. |
This inventory determines exactly which elements must be migrated.
| | When migrating, make sure to use a safe test environment. We recommend to perform all migration work in a Test or DTA environment before updating production. This allows you to copy SX parameters safely and test the new behavior against the existing configuration for validation purposes |
