Time-aware Contract line links to Properties
You can create or undo links between contract lines and properties, in accordance with the life cycle of the contract line. In Field definer you can define for which system type of the Contract lines business object you want to enable time-aware links to Properties. See Settings for the Contract lines (base) business object for more information. After enabling this setting, end users can create time-aware links for this type of contract line. In other words, define when the links should start and end. By doing so, you create a unique validity for each link, across the contract period. Once defined, Planon will make sure that the link is only applied during the specified period.
Good to know:
For contract line system types that don’t use time-aware contract line-property links, make sure that the end date of all existing links is empty.
For system types that don’t use time-aware contract line-property links, make sure that the start date of all existing links matches the contract line’s start date.
For system types selected in the Field definer settings, the 'time-aware links' dialog box is shown. For other system types, the default dialog box is shown.
For system types selected in the Field definer settings, start and end dates are shown in the Linked properties field on the contract line. For other system types, these dates are not shown.
For the procedure to link contract lines to properties, see Linking contract lines to properties.
