Choosing a renewal strategy
Because the organization does not need to decide on the renewal strategy until the end of the initial contract term, both renewal strategies can be added to the contract in advance.
In Planon, renewal options must be based on either Priority or Valid up to and including. To prevent the options from being processed before a decision has been made, all renewal options are initially created with the In preparation status.
Once the organization has selected a renewal strategy, set the corresponding renewal options to Active. Set the unused renewal options to Canceled so that they are excluded from further renewal processing.
