Examples of using renewal options
The examples in this section illustrate different ways of configuring and using renewal options. You can combine the configurations shown in these examples to support different renewal scenarios.
Renewal options can be processed manually or automatically:
• By changing the option status from Active to Applied.
• By using the Automatic renew action on the Contracts selection level.
• Automatically through an action definition in the Alerts TSI (see Automated processing of renewal options).
When renewal options are processed automatically, Planon evaluates the available options and applies the eligible option with the highest priority.
