Life cycle
Planon’s life cycle concept helps you track how a contract changes over time. A contract moves through several stages during its lifetime, starting at its start date and ending at its end date. Between these dates, the contract can pass through different stages depending on the updates made to its data.
Changes can be made to:
• General contract data, such as the contract period or the contracting parties.
• Contract line data, such as price agreements, indexation methods, or cost centers.
The Contract lines > Life cycle step shows the life cycle of a contract line.
The
Reference date feature lets you view a contract’s status on a specific date, for either the full contract or a contract line. For details on using reference dates, see
Reference date.
