Previewing configuration import
Previewing configuration import is nothing but simulating an import from a single package file containing the configuration components (exported earlier) so as to check the import results. However, the preview of import configuration is done without changing the configuration in the target environment and without blocking production.
Preview configuration is primarily useful to see if an import will be successful and to correct any mistakes, in the selected configuration components before executing the actual import.

The preview output is the same as a regular import and is registered on the Jobs level. The Job details displays all the components included in the preview.
