About Configuration Transfer
Transferring the configuration of a Planon ProCenter environment can be done, typically, by exporting/importing the configuration components from one environment (Test) to another (Production). The primary aim of this feature is to facilitate an easy, quick and smooth implementation of all the configuration components ranging from navigation items, TSIs, layouts, BOs & fields, filters, forms and reports.
The Configuration Transfer import will not remove items from a Production environment in the Loose mode. For example, if a layout, a pick list or a record within a pick list is present in the Production and not in Test, when the package is imported (in the Loose mode) from Test to Production, it will not be removed from the Production environment.
However, when you import in the strict mode, the package (source environment) rules and all pick list items that are present in the target environment but are no longer present in the package will be removed. Similarly, TSI levels/steps may be removed if they are not present in the TSI of the package.
Planon ProCenter also offers, through the Enterprise Talk TSI, the possibility to import DATA from another application or data source into Planon ProCenter and to export data from Planon ProCenter to an xml/csv file. Using Enterprise Talk, you can maintain the Planon ProCenter data structure and import the configured set up from a test environment to a production environment.

Planon provides Configuration Transfer as a web based solution through its Web Client. A dedicated TSI called Configuration Transfer enables the Export, Import and Preview of a configuration via a wizard.
