Archiving / dearchiving measurement points

In AWM, sensors may become invalid, be moved, or get deprecated. Archiving measurement points ensures that historical data remains available for BI/dashboards while excluding them from active processes. This approach preserves summarized readings for insights, even when measurement points are no longer active. To reactivate measurement points, you can dearchive them.

Procedure

1. Go to the Measurement points selection level.

2. Select the measurement point that you want to archive / dearchive.

Measurement points can only be archived when their status is Inactive.

3. On the action panel, click Transfer to archive/ Retrieve from archive.

To archive multiple measurement points at once, use Action on selection.

• Summarized readings remain accessible after archiving.

• Archived measurement points and readings are excluded from scheduled summarization.

• Archiving automatically archives associated measurement point readings.

• Dearchived measurement points must be reactivated before inclusion in scheduled processes.
