Working with defaults
You can define default values for coordinators/tradespeople, based on the default settings for the Trade or for Order group business objects.
System administrators can create settings for preferred or default tradespersons and coordinators per property, trade or order group can be created in Supporting data .
The default values of External/Internal coordinators/tradespeople also depend on the Business object settings > Default addresses/persons priority setting in Field definer .
When adding or modifying orders in Service manager, the system searches for default internal/external coordinator/tradesperson field values are searched in the following sequence:
1. If an order is linked to a contract, the defaults defined for the contract line/contract are used first. If the Contract line field on the order does not contain a value, the defaults defined in the contract are used.
2. If no default value is available for the External tradesperson field, the default defined for the asset is used.
3. If no External tradesperson is available, use the address that is connected to the contracting party of the granting contracting party of this contract.
4. If in Field definer > Order settings > General tab, the 1, Trade / Order group option is selected, the default settings are assigned in the following order, depending on the availability of the default values in the business object combinations:
5. If in Field definer > Order settings > General tab, the 2, Order group/Trade option is selected, the default settings are assigned in the following order, depending on the availability of the default values of the business object combinations:
| If no default External/Internal tradesperson/coordinator is found, the application empties the field instead of keeping the previously entered value. |
A confirmation message may appear based on what is configured in Planon ProCenter . If the configured message is set to 'Confirmation', the message always appears so that you can decide to
◦ If you select Yes, it always shows Yes (clear values)
◦ If you select No, it always shows No (keep old value)
This ensures consistent behavior when clearing fields for External/Internal tradespersons/coordinators.
