Configuring direct links for Publisher details pages
To allow users to navigate directly to a Publisher details page from an external system, you must enable and configure direct linking on the relevant list web definition.
Configuration
1. Go to Web configuration and select the Publisher Search List web definition you want to configure.
2. Add a new Initial Action named DirectLink.
3. Locate and enable the property Allow direct link to details page.
4. Click Save to apply your changes.
Deep Link URL
Once enabled, the Publisher Details page can be accessed directly via a URL. The link must include specific parameters to identify the correct business object (BO). The supported identifiers are:
• External ID and External System (used together for External BO links)
• Asset Code
• Asset UUID

Open the link in your browser.
If the asset is found and you have the required permissions, the Publisher Details page opens automatically, displaying the asset's locations, observations, work orders, and other published information.
 | If the ID does not exist, or if access is restricted by fixed filters or user permissions, a general warning message is displayed to ensure security. |
Key Considerations
Authentication: The hyperlink must be opened with a valid access key for authentication.
Filters & Security: The direct link respects any fixed filters applied to the list page and will return an authorization error if the user does not have access to the specific ID requested.
Automatic Identification: Self-Service will automatically determine the correct Planon business object (e.g., Asset, Space, or Property) based on the provided parameters.
