Step actions
In many TSIs, you will find actions above the elements list or on the action panel that are specific to the selection step; these are called step actions.
End users can use step actions to change / update the display of data on the selection step or to perform a step-specific action. Some step actions are generic, such as Refresh list, Show list, Show archived items, while others are specific to only one or a few steps, such as Create QR code.
Step actions are available at various locations in the Planon user interface:
Action panel, for example Generate clustered orders, Area calculation, Create QR code.
Data panel header, such as CAD integrator, BIM viewer.
Elements list header, such as Show related orders, Financial year active.
Search bar, such as Search by stock item code, Search flexible workspaces.
Graphical planner, such as Filter on desk configuration, Show completed orders.
Chart (element list filter), such as Highlight resources suitable for job.
Chart (planner filter), such as Show critical path.
Menu, such as CAD Integrator menu.
By default, step actions are available to all users. You can, however, remove irrelevant actions from a specific layout.
