Step actions
In many TSIs, you will find actions above the elements list or on the action panel that are specific to the selection step; these are called step actions.
End users can use step actions to change / update the display of data on the selection step or to perform a step-specific action. Some step actions are generic, such as Refresh list, Show list, Show archived items, while others are specific to only one or a few steps, such as Create QR code.
Step actions are available at various locations in the Planon user interface:
• Action panel, for example Generate clustered orders, Area calculation, Create QR code.
• Data panel header, such as CAD integrator, BIM viewer.
• Elements list header, such as Show related orders, Financial year active.
• Search bar, such as Search by stock item code, Search flexible workspaces.
• Graphical planner, such as Filter on desk configuration, Show completed orders.
• Chart (element list filter), such as Highlight resources suitable for job.
• Chart (planner filter), such as Show critical path.
• Menu, such as CAD Integrator menu.
By default, step actions are available to all users. You can, however, remove irrelevant actions from a specific layout.
