Area measurement standards
Area measurement standards—such as the Dutch NEN 2580—are used to calculate the net or gross area of a space when enclosed openings or constructional elements are present.
If the area of an enclosed opening or constructional element is below the configured threshold, its area is not deducted from the surrounding space. Although it is not possible to fully maintain an entire measurement standard within space norms, you can define threshold values for enclosed openings and constructional elements.
When AutoCAD drawings are imported, these thresholds are applied to calculate the space area and during the conversion of the drawing into a CAD Integrator (.orj) file.
