Reserving a stock request
Stock managers can reserve requested stock items in a distribution point and issue them to the requestors later.
When a stock request is set to the Reserved status the system verifies if sufficient stock is available. If not an alert is displayed.

Reserving stock items in a distribution point
1. Go to Stock requests.
2. Select a stock request with the Open status.
3. Click Reserve on the action panel.
You can only reserve a stock request if there is sufficient stock available for the quantity requested.
◦ If the stock is available, the stock request will be directly processed for issuing to the requestor.
◦ If there is not enough stock available, a partial delivery is made for those items if partial delivery is allowed on their requisition lines.
◦ If partial delivery is not allowed for the product, the stock request cannot be set to Reserved and the delivery will be delayed until the stock is replenished.
4. When the stock request status is Reserved, the stock quantities are recalculated for the related stock items.
 | It is possible to reduce the reserved quantity for a stock request with status Reserved, to free up stock for other stock requests. In that case, a partial delivery will be made for the original stock request. |
