Replenishing stock from a vendor
Stock managers regularly replenish stock items and make these available for reservations or issuing. Efficient stock replenishment means reducing storage costs. The following procedure is about manual stock replenishment. If required, you can also make settings for automatic replenishment of the stock items in the Automatic replenishment fields. For an explanation of the fields, see Automatic replenishment fields.
Procedure for manual replenishment
1. Go to Stock items and select the product that you want to replenish.
2. On the action panel, click Replenish.
You can also multiple stock items using Action on selection.
3. Enter the quantity of the stock item(s) to be replenished.
4. Click OK.
A replenishment suggestion is created in Stock movements > Replenishment suggestions.
The new replenishment suggestion becomes available in the Purchase suggestions step to be processed into a purchase order in Purchasing . If the Distribution point for replenishment field has a value, a stock transfer is created instead of purchase suggestions.

A Replenishment suggestion can be rejected if needed, via Reject purchase suggestion on the action panel. In the Rejection date-time and Reason for rejection fields, the back-office can specify a reason and date for the rejection. If the same fields are added to the Replenishment suggestion layout, the entered values are displayed there too. For more information, see Purchase suggestions in the user documentation.
